The Pink House and the Famous Cemetery

 

Last weekend we were able to take a tour of "La Casa Rosada" (The Pink House). The Pink House is the Argentinian equivalent of The White House. However, unlike The White House tour, on The Pink House tour you are actually allowed to see and walk trough almost all of the house and and touch 90% of the stuff you see. After the tour, we traveled to visit the famous "Cemeterio de la Recoleta" -- an eerie yet beautiful final resting place for the most well-known families of Argentina. Full of striking family mausoleums with ornate metal and stone work, the place is unlike anything I've ever seen before.
